Arab Sea - Agencies: The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the military branch responsible for managing and organizing the movement of humanitarian aid in the Palestinian territories, announced that it opened the Zikim crossing in the northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday, according to Reuters. This came to allow humanitarian aid trucks to enter the Strip, in a step aimed at alleviating the deteriorating humanitarian conditions due to the ongoing siege and the recent conflict. The Zikim crossing is one of the vital crossings that allows the transfer of essential supplies such as food, medicine, and medical supplies, amid international and regional efforts to improve humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
