Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Republic of Yemen participated today in the activities of the fifth annual meeting of the Association of Arab Public Prosecutors, held in the Dhofar Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman, with a delegation headed by the Attorney General of the Republic, Judge Qaher Mustafa. The meeting, in which a number of public prosecutors and attorneys general from sisterly Gulf and Arab countries participated, discussed strengthening Arab judicial cooperation to ensure its effectiveness in confronting crimes, especially transnational crimes, the importance of exchanging criminal experiences, and unifying visions to confront the common challenges imposed by the rapid developments in crime patterns and methods. Attorney General Judge Qaher Mustafa stressed the importance of building practical and effective mechanisms to enhance coordination between public prosecution agencies in Arab countries, in a way that contributes to strengthening criminal justice and prosecuting perpetrators of organized crimes, stressing the need to keep pace with modern developments in the field of digital and economic crime. He also pointed out that the Public Prosecution Office in Yemen pays special attention to the files of emerging crimes and seeks to develop the capabilities of its members through training and qualification, noting that the joint Arab experiences provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and enhance joint judicial work. On the sidelines of the meeting, the Attorney General participated in a specialized seminar on digital currency crimes, which focused on mechanisms for investigating this type of case and seizing its evidence, while reviewing the experiences of member states in combating it.
