Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The European Union strongly condemned the arbitrary detentions carried out by the Houthi group, which targeted at least 11 United Nations employees. In a statement today, Tuesday, the European Union also condemned the Houthi group's confiscation of United Nations property and the storming of its buildings in Sana'a, in violation of international law and the Vienna Conventions, which stipulate the inviolability of diplomatic premises at all times, calling for the immediate release of all detained employees. In its statement, the European Union reiterated its call for respect for freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, demanding a halt to all threats and attacks against commercial vessels.
