Arab Gulf - Follow-ups: Military sources reported that Israeli forces bombed a group of military points and locations where foreign fighters gather in the cities of Jableh and Banias and their countryside on the Syrian coast, shortly before and after midnight on Monday - Tuesday. The source said that the Israeli bombing targeted the Naval College in Jableh with a drone. Confirming that Turkish officers had arrived at the college earlier. Two "F-16" aircraft and drones participated in the bombing, according to a Syrian military source on the Syrian coast. According to the source, the bombing also targeted an operations room belonging to Sheikh Anas Airoot, a member of the Supreme Ifta Council in Syria, and a member of the Higher Committee for the Preservation of Civil Peace for the city of Banias. He pointed out that the targeted site witnessed, hours before the bombing, a meeting between Airoot, a Turkish intelligence officer, and two members of the Alawite Civil Peace Committee supporting the regime, namely Fadi Saqr and Yasser Abbas, noting that this meeting was devoted to attempts to persuade the Alawites on the coast to request Turkish protection, in the event that the country moves towards division and autonomy. The source adds that the third target of the raids was a headquarters in the Banias refinery residences that includes foreign fighters, and a villa owned by a close associate of the Assad regime (Abdul Karim Zeidan) before it was seized by the current authorities, and is occupied by dozens of foreign fighters. The source points out that these field developments seem to indicate an Israeli decision, in coordination with the Russians, to target the foreign elements that have returned to be stationed on the Syrian coast, under Turkish orders. The coastal region is witnessing a power struggle between many regional and international powers, led by Turkey and Russia, while Israel stands behind Russia, rejecting any Turkish infiltration on the Syrian coast. The atmosphere of tension has returned to the Syrian coast since the return of foreign fighters about a week ago, especially in the countryside of Jableh and Tartus, where foreign fighters, according to the military source, constitute a large percentage of the security and military forces that have been deployed in the region. Since their return, they have committed many murders and violations against civilians on the coast, while an atmosphere of fear and tension has returned to the region again. The village of "Beit Allian" in the countryside of Tartus witnessed, the day before yesterday, a "security campaign" that led to the death of two young men while passing near a farm, as security personnel opened fire on their motorcycle, killing one of them instantly and seriously injuring the other, who later died, while a third friend who was with them survived. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights quoted residents of the village as saying that one of the security personnel, who is of non-Syrian nationality, beheaded the young man Bashar Mihoub and placed his head on the trunk of a security vehicle before parading it in the neighborhood, in a shocking scene that caused panic among the residents.
