Under the directives of Mr. Ahmed Ali Al-Dawoodi, Director General of Al-Mansoura District, and under the supervision of Engineer Raafat Kokni, Director of the Public Works Office, the Environmental Health Office in Al-Mansoura District destroyed 3 tons of food and beverages unfit for human consumption this morning. Mr. Hassan Abdulaziz, Head of the Environmental Health Department, stated that the inspection team withdrew various materials from the markets that were unfit for consumption and had expired. The inspection team also issued violations to shops that display and store materials unfit for human consumption. Mr. Mahmoud Al-Muflahi, Head of the Inspection Teams in the Directorate and Deputy Head of the Environmental Health Department in Al-Mansoura Directorate, said: "The inspection teams carry out inspection campaigns on food and beverages throughout the year and on a daily basis, targeting the protection of consumers from materials unfit for consumption." Al-Muflahi pointed out that the inspection teams are specialized in food safety and carry out inspections and withdraw unsuitable materials from the market in a scientific manner. The materials that were destroyed contained various types of triangular cheeses, various types of drinks and juices, and a large quantity of halva, with a total quantity of 3 tons. Al-Muflahi confirmed that the department is now present to carry out the legal destruction procedures in accordance with the applicable regulations and laws, and we will transport 3 tons of various materials and destroy them in the landfill in Bir Naama, Al-Buraiqa District, as soon as the legal requirements are met. At exactly eleven o'clock in the morning, the materials were transported to the Bir Naama landfill and the entire quantity was burned in the presence of specialists. It is worth mentioning that this quantity was withdrawn from the markets during the days of Eid al-Adha.
