Today in the interim capital, Aden, the photo exhibition "She is Aden... Lines and Pictures" was opened. It was implemented by the General Administration for Women's Development in the local authority, in partnership with UN Women, to celebrate the history of Adeni women and highlight their pioneering role throughout various stages. The exhibition included a visual display of pictures of the most prominent pioneers in the city of Aden, along with visual presentations, and an introductory seminar that included four working papers dealing with: a historical overview of the glory made by Adeni women, "Adeni Women Between Two Turning Points," "Adeni Women... Administration from the Heart of Will," in addition to a paper on the role of women in making the revolution and decision-making before and after independence. The Director General of the General Administration for Women's Development in Aden, Ishtiaq Saad, affirmed that organizing the exhibition reflects the local authority's belief in the importance of celebrating the history of women as it is a celebration of the essence of society itself, pointing out that empowering women is not a temporary project, but rather a national path that reshapes awareness and instills inspiration in future generations. For her part, the representative of UN Women in Yemen, Dina Zorba, explained that the exhibition represents a documentation of the journey of Adeni women and their leading role in various fields, stressing that the city of Aden has been a beacon of social and cultural progress in Yemen, and that UN Women will continue to support Yemeni women, considering that investing in them is an investment in the future and sustainable development.
